A 25-Year Journey Built on Real Entrepreneurship
In November 1999, Sue Guiher left a successful career as a healthcare executive to build something more aligned with who she was. She launched Thrive for Success with a three-month-old at home and a mission to help small business owners create businesses that supported their families, reflected their values, and proved that alignment between work and life was genuinely possible.
She became known as “the Thriving Entrepreneur” not as a brand strategy, but as a lived reality. She was growing a business, raising three kids, and walking the talk every single day. That identity eventually became the foundation for Thriving Entrepreneur, now the entrepreneurial division of Thrive for Success, dedicated to helping small business owners and entrepreneurs build businesses they love.
Over 25 years, that mission has reached entrepreneurs across more than 95 different industries. Sue also spent years training hundreds of coaches behind the scenes at several coaching schools, work that deepened her understanding of what actually helps people grow. In parallel, she built a thriving corporate consulting practice under Thrive for Success, working with executives and leaders at organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.
Today, the business has come full circle. Matt, that three-month-old who grew up watching his mother build something from nothing, began contributing to the business at age 14. In 2023, he joined full-time, bringing expertise in business systems, AI, and technology to every client engagement. Together, Sue and Matt combine 25 years of strategic, communication, and leadership experience with a modern, practical approach to technology and operations.
Meet Sue Guiher
After a successful career as a healthcare executive, Sue Guiher walked away from corporate life in November 1999 to build something on her own terms. She founded Thrive for Success with a three-month-old at home and a conviction that entrepreneurs and small business owners deserved better support. Over 25 years, that mission grew into a practice spanning more than 95 types of businesses, alongside a thriving corporate consulting arm serving executives and leaders across a wide range of industries and organizations.
Along the way, Sue trained hundreds of coaches behind the scenes at multiple coaching schools, work that shaped her deeply practical approach to client support. She has also spent almost two decades teaching communications to MBA and Executive MBA students at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, and Rider University. As a Board-Certified Coach, she brings both professional rigor and genuine humanity to helping leaders find clarity, influence, and direction.
Sue’s strength is helping entrepreneurs cut through the noise, align their decisions with what matters most, and build something they are proud of for the long term.

Meet Matt Guiher
Matt Guiher is a technology strategist with a background in information systems and business analytics, bringing over a decade of experience simplifying processes and leveraging technology to improve productivity.
He specializes in helping entrepreneurs make sense of emerging tools and systems without the confusion or unnecessary complexity that often comes with them. Matt has extensively explored AI platforms and advanced workflow systems, including NotebookLM, uncovering practical ways entrepreneurs can use technology to streamline operations, organize knowledge, and improve decision-making.
His focus is helping business owners remove the guesswork from technology so they can spend less time managing tools and more time growing the business they want.
Matt didn’t just join Thrive for Success. He grew up in it. Having watched his mother build the business from his earliest years, he began contributing at age 14 and has been part of the team ever since. In 2023, he joined full-time, bringing his expertise in business systems, AI, and technology strategy to the entrepreneurs Thriving Entrepreneur has supported for over two decades.
